Soft-system Development Service Centre - (SSDSC) Nepal:
Soft-system Development Service Centre - Nepal (SSDSC-Nepal), established in 1998, is a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO). This centre has being affiliated with the Social Welfare Council and NGO Federation of Nepal.
The organisation was established to cater, generate and develop the resources within the rural communities. The organisation mainly seeks to conduct transformation of the communities to enable them in self realization/awareness, empowerment, capacity building, local fund establishment and approach wholistic development. in Lumbini and surrounding other remote districts of Nepal.
There is a 25-member general assembly, which consists of the members from different walks of life. An 7-member management committee, which is elected by the general assembly every second year, is active in the daily activities of the organisation. The organisation has a number of social workers and professionals. It has a volunteer team with first hand experience on development activities with different modalities practiced in Nepal. The Centre is also an umbrella of the women self-help groups, School and environmental right forum formed into different settlement pockets of different Districts with the motivation of it.
